I am a wife, a mother of 2, a retired teacher and a life long volunteer. I have volunteered with the Shoebox Project for Women since 2018 and I am very excited about taking on the role of Local Coordinator for York Region. I am grateful for the opportunity to support such an empowering organization. I am passionate about helping vulnerable women feel valued and respected. My experiences with volunteering began when I was a teenager and over the years volunteering in my community has not only provided me with a sense of purpose and fulfillment, but has also provided me the opportunity to meet many amazing people and develop life-long friendships.
