Hello! We are Abby and Victoria — the new GTA West chapter coordinators for The Shoebox Project. We have been involved with the Shoebox Project since 2023, running drives with family & friends and are so excited to take on this new role. It means a lot to us to support local women and truly makes a difference in our community. A huge thank you to Karen and Courtenay for leading the GTA West chapter with love and dedication for the past 10 years. We’re so grateful for everything you’ve done! We can’t wait to keep the momentum going and share what’s next!

The Toronto Shoebox Project occupies the ancestral, traditional and contemporary lands of the Anishinabewaki, Wendake-Nionwentsïo, Ho-de-no-sau-nee-ga (Haudenosaunee), Mississauga, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. In particular, our Chapter resides on land ceded in the Toronto Purchase & Treaty 13, 1805. We recognize and support the Indigenous individuals and communities who live here now, and those who were forcibly removed from their homelands. In offering this land acknowledgement, we affirm Indigenous sovereignty, history and experiences.
