I'm happy to introduce myself as Chapter Coordinator for the GTA North Shoebox Project. My volunteer journey in Toronto began in December 2014, when the company I worked for during the holiday season chose to support The Shoebox Project, and I felt compelled to get involved. Understanding the challenges many women face, especially individuals experiencing homelessness, makes this mission very personal for me. I understand and recognize my own privilege and that homeownership can be a privilege, that not everyone has equal access to. My passion for being involved in this charity comes from a simple belief: everyone deserves housing security- a space that offers safety, stability, and a true sense of home. Throughout my life, my family and I have been involved with organizations that provide support to families. I am passionate about the positive impact we can create together. I look forward to collaborating and working with all Shoebox Project chapters, agencies, volunteers, partners, and stakeholders to share love, kindness and compassion by providing at- risk women with essentials and luxuries in a thoughtfully a wrapped box through community support and involvement.
