I have held the role of local coordinator since 2017. This role has been an incredible opportunity to give back to my community by bringing comfort and joy to women in need. I am an English teacher, writer, and editor.

The Toronto Shoebox Project occupies the ancestral, traditional and contemporary lands of the Anishinabewaki, Wendake-Nionwentsïo, Ho-de-no-sau-nee-ga (Haudenosaunee), Mississauga, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. In particular, our Chapter resides on land ceded in the Toronto Purchase & Treaty 13, 1805. We recognize and support the Indigenous individuals and communities who live here now, and those who were forcibly removed from their homelands. In offering this land acknowledgement, we affirm Indigenous sovereignty, history and experiences.
