My name is Jessica Hurdal and I am proud to support The Shoebox Project in Vancouver. As a real estate professional, I see every day how important a sense of home, connection, and community truly is. I am deeply passionate about giving back and supporting women through all seasons of life. I believe every woman deserves to feel seen, valued, and cared for, especially during times when life feels uncertain or challenging. The Shoebox Project is a beautiful way to bring that belief to life by creating small but powerful moments of kindness. I am so grateful to be part of a community that shows up for one another. It’s truly inspiring to see how a simple shoebox can remind someone that they are not alone - and that they matter.

Helping people on the street with the Shoebox Project
The Vancouver (Lower Mainland) Shoebox Project occupies the ancestral, traditional and contemporary lands of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla), S’ólh Téméxw Nation, Tsleil-Waututh Nation, Musqueam First Nations, Squamish Nation's, Stz’uminus First Nations. In particular, our Chapter resides on land ceded in the Hul’qumi’num Treaty Group. We recognize and support the Indigenous individuals and communities who live here now, and those who were forcibly removed from their homelands. In offering this land acknowledgement, we affirm Indigenous sovereignty, history and experiences.
