The Saskatoon Shoebox Project Holiday Drive has officially come to a close! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, volunteers, and partners, we were able to distribute 238 gift-filled shoeboxes to clients of the Saskatoon Interval House, Adelle House, the Salvation Army (Bethany Home), CUMFI, and the SPARK Foundation of Lloydminster.We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this possible and look forward to continuing this work together in the year ahead. The Saskatoon Shoebox Project occupies the ancestral, traditional and contemporary lands of the Ĩyãħé Nakón mąkóce (Stoney Nakoda Nations), Očhéthi Šakówiŋ, Niitsítpiis-stahkoii ᖹᐟᒧᐧᐨᑯᐧ ᓴᐦᖾᐟ (Blackfoot / Niitsítapi ᖹᐟᒧᐧᒣᑯ), Michif Piyii (Métis), Cree. In particular, our Chapter resides on land ceded in the Treaty 6, 1876. We recognize and support the Indigenous individuals and communities who live here now, and those who were forcibly removed from their homelands. In offering this land acknowledgement, we affirm Indigenous sovereignty, history and experiences.
