Laura joined The Shoebox Project in 2021 as Nanaimo's Local Coordinator. She is a musician and artist living in Nanaimo/Snuneymuxw First Nation Territory with her partner, child and two dogs. Laura is grateful to the other volunteers, drop-off locations and community support for The Shoebox Project; and also thankful to the kind agencies working with wonderful people experiencing hardship.
While we are searching for a local coordinator for this chapter, our agencies are still being supported. If you are interested in being a local coordinator, please click here to learn more about the role and apply.
Our Kingston Chapter is currently without the necessary leadership to keep this Chapter active. If you are interested in this rewarding Volunteer opportunity to bring this chapter back to your community to support women in the region, please click here to learn more and apply!

This holiday season, fill a standard-sized, decorated Shoebox with approximately $50 worth of gifts and essentials that any woman might enjoy, and include a warm greeting or message of support. Our volunteers distribute these gifts to local women’s shelters and community agencies serving women impacted by homelessness across Canada.
Whether you donate a Shoebox virtually or in-person, it is more than just a gift. It is a rare and powerful reminder that we all matter.
