I feel privileged to have lived, worked, and played in the beautiful City of Kawartha Lakes for most of my life. Now Retired from a fulfilling career as an occupational therapist at a local children’s centre, I now enjoy part-time work as a floral designer . For fun I enjoy yoga, cycling, hiking, photography, flowers, gardening and travel. My volunteer commitment to the Shoebox Project City of Kawartha Lakes dates back to 2017. The undeniable impact of a lovely shoebox gift to a woman experiencing or at risk of homelessness is humbling and heart-warming, especially during the holiday season . I look forward, alongside my caring community, to continue to support local women in need through this wonderful project for years to come.

Kawartha Lakes Food Source
The Kawartha Lakes Shoebox Project occupies the ancestral, traditional and contemporary lands of the Anishinabewaki, Wendake-Nionwentsïo, Ho-de-no-sau-nee-ga (Haudenosaunee), Mississauga. In particular, our Chapter resides on land ceded in the Treaty 20, 1818. We recognize and support the Indigenous individuals and communities who live here now, and those who were forcibly removed from their homelands. In offering this land acknowledgement, we affirm Indigenous sovereignty, history and experiences.
