Alison has been the local coordinator for The Campbell River Shoebox Project since 2013 and expanded to Port Hardy/North Island in 2017. Alison enjoys connecting with local agencies, businesses and community members interested in supporting local women. Each year she looks forward to providing gift-filled Shoeboxes to vulnerable women in Campbell River and Port Hardy/North Island, helping to give them the gift of hope, resilience and a sense of belonging.

A huge thankyou to all of our community supporters who made The Campbell River Shoebox Project Holiday Drive a success once again this year! Thanks to those who promoted the project; the Drop off Locations; individuals, groups, students and businesses who donated Shoeboxes, personal items, Gift cards or made financial donations; and the dedicated volunteers who collected, decorated, inspected and delivered Shoeboxes! It really was a community effort!
With your generous donations and support we were able to deliver about 630 Shoebox gifts ($50 value) to local vulnerable women: 560 in Campbell River and close to 70 in Port Hardy/North Island. Thankyou for your part in helping to brighten the Holidays for local women in need!

The Campbell River Shoebox Project occupies the ancestral, traditional and contemporary lands of the K'ómoks First Nations, Homalco First Nations, We Wai Kai First Nations, We Wai Kum First Nations. In particular, our Chapter resides on land ceded in the Laich-kwil-tach Treaty Society. We recognize and support the Indigenous individuals and communities who live here now, and those who were forcibly removed from their homelands. In offering this land acknowledgement, we affirm Indigenous sovereignty, history and experiences.
