I am absolutely thrilled to serve as the local coordinator for the Brampton chapter of The Shoebox Project. With a background rooted in supporting people and championing equity, I am a big believer in the power of community, education, and awareness. I can’t wait to bring my knack for organizing and advocacy together to support such a meaningful cause right here at home. A proud graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University, you can usually find me coaching youth softball when I'm not giving back to the community.

Shoebox Project for Women helps 'spread some joy' for women in Orangeville experiencing homelessness

The Brampton-Caledon-Orangeville Shoebox Project occupies the ancestral, traditional and contemporary lands of the Anishinabewaki, Wendake-Nionwentsïo, Ho-de-no-sau-nee-ga (Haudenosaunee), Attiwonderonk (Neutral), Mississauga, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. In particular, our Chapter resides on land ceded in the Treaty 13A, 1805/Head of the Lake Purchase . We recognize and support the Indigenous individuals and communities who live here now, and those who were forcibly removed from their homelands. In offering this land acknowledgement, we affirm Indigenous sovereignty, history and experiences.
