I’m honoured to join The Shoebox Project for Women as the new Local Coordinator for the Brampton chapter. With a professional background in the justice system, I’ve developed a strong passion for women’s issues, particularly supporting those impacted by intimate partner violence and other forms of adversity. I believe deeply in the power of community, compassion, and meaningful connection to help women feel seen, valued, and supported. I’m excited to bring my experience and passion to the Brampton chapter and work alongside volunteers, donors, and community partners to make a positive difference in the lives of women in our community—one shoebox at a time.

The Brampton-Caledon-Orangeville Shoebox Project occupies the ancestral, traditional and contemporary lands of the Anishinabewaki, Wendake-Nionwentsïo, Ho-de-no-sau-nee-ga (Haudenosaunee), Attiwonderonk (Neutral), Mississauga, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. In particular, our Chapter resides on land ceded in the Treaty 13A, 1805/Head of the Lake Purchase . We recognize and support the Indigenous individuals and communities who live here now, and those who were forcibly removed from their homelands. In offering this land acknowledgement, we affirm Indigenous sovereignty, history and experiences.
