Community / Neighbourhood Engagement

For all those who love to keep moving, this BOOTS ON THE GROUND role is for you! If you live in a large and expansive community, your Local Chapter will need a lot of Volunteer help in its various neighborhoods to get all of these Shoebox gifts to and from where they need to be. You will be helping pick up Shoeboxes, inspect and deliver these Shoeboxes throughout your community at the direction of your Local Chapter Coordinator. This could include to and from community groups, companies, schools and public drop off locations. You are in the middle of all of the action during community drives and you thrive on being a part of the action!

Community Engagement Coordinator

Boots on the ground, you will be collaborating with your Local or Regional Coordinator and other Community Engagement Coordinators. You are responsible for coordinating the logistics of your local community Shoebox drives, inspections and distribution.

Suitability

  • Age: 21+/retired
  • Sept-Dec availability, daytime/weekday availability a must
  • 2-5 hours/week during community drives
  • LOVE the ACTION!
  • own means of transportation, current/valid driver's licence in home province, personal automobile insurance
  • good physical condition (light-med lifting ability required - including stairs)
  • computer literate/familiar w/google based applications
  • punctual and can commit!
